Associate Professor Kuniyoshi Hayashi (Faculty of Data Science, Kyoto Women’s University) Presents at IES 2025 Invited Session Organized by Professor Michele Gallo (University of Naples L’Orientale)

Kyoto Women’s University (President: Prof. Hideko Takeyasu) and the University of Naples L’Orientale (President: Prof. Roberto Tottoli) signed an agreement earlier this year (https://www.kyoto-wu.ac.jp/international/koryu.html#id04). From June 25 to 27, IES 2025, Statistical Methods for Evaluation and Quality (the 12th Scientific Meeting of the Statistics for the Evaluation and Quality of Services Group of the Italian Statistical Society) was held at the Bressanone-Brixen campus of the University of Padua, Italy (https://ies2025.sis-statistica.it/). At this international conference, Professor Michele Gallo (University of Naples L’Orientale) organized an invited session, where Associate Professor Kuniyoshi Hayashi (Faculty of Data Science, Kyoto Women’s University) was invited to present. On June 27, Dr. Hayashi presented on Identifying optimal candidate models of classification trees with weak bias, which was authored by Kuniyoshi Hayashi and Ryo Inose.
During the conference, Dr. Hayashi engaged in active academic exchanges with several researchers, particularly from Italy. Kyoto Women’s University and the University of Naples L’Orientale may continue fostering active collaboration in the years ahead.
