Program for Tuition Fees and Other Aid (Privately Funded International Students)

The University has established a system to assist privately funded international students with tuition and living expenses.
(However, this program is only available to students enrolling in the 2024 academic year or later).

Special scholarship for privately financed international students with excellent entrance exam scores

This scholarship is for regular international students who have achieved excellent results in the university's entrance examination for international students and the special selection (fall)
and general selection (fall) for international students in the graduate school.

International undergraduate students: 250,000 yen,
International graduate students: 150,000 yen

Special scholarship for privately financed international students with good academic records

This scholarship is for full-time international students with outstanding academic records after enrollment.
The scholarship is awarded to students with excellent academic records for one year in their first, second, and third year of enrollment.

Tuition Assistance Program for Privately Financed International Students from Asian Countries and Regions*.

The purpose of this support system is to assist regular international students (undergraduate and graduate) from Asian countries and regions who are experiencing financial hardship.
 
The first category is for new international students who have achieved excellent results in the university's entrance examination for international students and the special selection for international students (fall) and the general selection for international students (fall) in the graduate school.

The "No. 2 Tuition Support Program" is for regular international students (undergraduate and graduate) in their first year of enrollment or later.

Dormitory Fee Reduction and Exemption Program for Privately Financed International Students (from Asian Countries/Regions*)

The purpose of this program is to assist non-regular international students from Asian countries and regions (exchange students, Japanese Language Program students, Intensive 
Japanese Language Program students, and Advanced Japanese Language Program students) who are experiencing financial hardship. 
If you are enrolled in KOMATSU International Dormitory, part of the dormitory fee will be reduced or waived.
