Our Campus and Location
Kyoto Women's University is located in Higashiyama, Kyoto, which is home to many national treasures and important cultural sites such as Kiyomizu-Dera Temple and Sanjusangen-do Temple. The campus houses the university's undergraduate colleges, graduate schools, and affiliated research institutes. The kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school, and senior high school, which belong to the same school organization, are located adjacent to the campus. In addition to visits to historical sites, the campus offers arranged opportunities to see classical art and visit art galleries. Students enjoy campus life in the quiet and peaceful environment of Higashiyama. The Kyoto International Manga Museum, a museum of "manga" that can be one of the representatives of "Cool Japan", is only 3 stations by subway from Kyoto Station. The university has excellent access to other popular places in Kansai, being only about 30 minutes to one hour from Osaka, Kobe, and Nara.
