Providing accommodation for international students

International Dormitory KOMATSU

Kyoto Women's University provides a supportive learning environment for students, including accommodation for international students which is accessible, safe, secure, and reasonably-priced and which supports learning and facilitates interaction with Japanese students. From April 2020, we will open an international dormitory in which international students and Japanese students can live together.
As the dormitory will be open throughout the whole year (365 days), students can use the facilities even when they do not have any classes, for example during long holidays. Each room can accommodate three students. One international student and two Japanese students will be assigned to each room so that they can share the time even after class hours, and it will lead them to experience cultural exchanges through their daily life and develop a better understanding of different cultures.
In addition, there is a resident manager in the dormitory, so international students will be able to live with peace of mind.

International House Kiyomizu Otowakan

Utilizing the advantages of single rooms, International House Kiyomizu Otowakan is used as an accommodation for graduate international students or researchers from partner institutions and also as a guesthouse for invited researchers from overseas (This facility is open for both male and female). Adjacent to the university building, it is very accessible to commute for study or research.
