Providing housing for international students

International Dormitory KOMATSU

Kyoto Women's University provides a supportive learning environment for students, including housing for international students that is accessible, safe, secure, and affordable, and that supports learning and facilitates interaction with Japanese students. From April 2020, we are opening an international dormitory where international students and Japanese students can live together.
Since the dormitory is open year-round (365 days), students can use the facilities even when they do not have any classes, such as during long vacations. Each room can accommodate three students. One international student and two Japanese students are assigned to each room so that they can share the time even after class hours, and it will lead them to experience cultural exchange through their daily lives and develop a better understanding of different cultures.
In addition, there is a resident manager in the dormitory so that international students can live with peace of mind.
